Dr. Muhammad Shamim is Assistant Professor of Surgery at College of Medicine, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, and Supervisor of General Surgery training at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. He was awarded fellowships in surgery from Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as master’s degrees in Health Professionals Education from Netherland and Egypt. He is also the author of Essential of Surgery, 8th edition and Clinical Techniques in Surgery, 2nd edition. He has also authored several research publications and is currently a peer reviewer and editorial board member for several indexed surgery journals. He is editor of 'The Art and Science of Abdominal Hernia' published in 2021 by IntechOpen.
