Dr Amr Elkelish is an Assistant professor of Molecular Plant Physiology in the Botany Department of the Faculty of Science at Suez Canal University, Egypt. He received his BSc and MSc from Suez Canal University, and his PhD degree in Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology from Technical University of Munich, Germany. Afterwards, Amr joined the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, as a Visiting Research Fellow. His research focuses on plant physiology, molecular biology, molecular physiology, plant-microbe interaction, and bioinformatics. He has authored several international journal articles and book chapters and participated at more than 20 conferences and workshops worldwide. Amr is currently involved in several local and EU research projects on the application of endophytes in biotic and abiotic stress tolerance.
