Islam Khalil is an associate professor of Pharmaceutics at College of Pharmacy, Misr University for Science and Technology (Egypt) and an adjunct associate professor at Nanoscience program, Zewail City for Science and Technology (Egypt). He received his BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Misr University for Science and Technology in 2003, his the MSc in 2009 and PhD in 2013 in Pharmaceutics from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in an American university in Cairo, Zewail City for Science and Technology and Brigham and Women\'s Hospital, Harvard Medical School (as a Fulbright visiting scholar). He also worked as a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry and bio-equivalent centers. His research is focused on designing, developing, and evaluation of nanoscale carriers and scaffolds for various biomedical applications such as therapeutics and tissue regeneration.
