Islam A. Khalil
Islam A. Khalil received a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Misr University for Science and Technology, Egypt, in 2003, and an MSc and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, Egypt, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. Currently, Dr. Khalil is Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Misr University for Science and Technology, Egypt. He worked previously as a postdoctoral research fellow in an American university in Cairo (Egypt), Zewail City for Science and Technology (Egypt), Brigham and Women\'s Hospital - Harvard Medical School (USA), and Northeastern University (USA). His research activities focus on designing, developing, and evaluating nanomedicines for various biomedical applications, especially therapeutics and tissue regeneration. He also has considerable industrial research and development experiences to his credit. He received several awards including Best Applied Pharmaceutical Research in 2018 from the Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) and the State Encouragement Award in Medical Sciences in 2020.
