Dr. Julio Mendez obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. His research focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics more specifically in compressible flows. He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering; the latter with a concentration in Computational Thermal Sciences. Since 2008, Julio has worked in CFD studying industrial related problems and in the last few years, he has conducted research in the Aerospace field using a novel technique called Integro-Differential Scheme (IDS). His research interests include computer science, numerical analysis, scientific computing, High Performance Computing, compressible flows, turbulent flows, and data assimilation.
