John Igoli
John Ogbaji Igoli currently works at the Department of Chemistry, Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi. John does research in Organic Chemistry, Pharmacology and Phytochemistry. He is also interested in drug discovery and in the bioassay of isolated or synthesized compounds. John is keenly involved in spectroscopic (NMR, mass spec) identification of compounds and the evaluation of medicinal plants used in traditional medicine. John is also interested in establishing functional laboratories in Nigeria and he is deeply concerned about the state of research and spectroscopic facilities in Nigeria. John is passionate about teaching, research and collaboration. He has organized and facilitated several spectroscopy, structure elucidation, grant writing and research publication workshops.
