Reishi Takashima is an Associate professor of The Center for Academic Resources and Archives, Tohoku University Museum, Tohoku University. His field of specialization: Geology and stratigraphy. Short scientific biography: B.Sc, 1995, Tohoku University; M.Sc, 1997, Tohoku University; Ph.D., 2000, Tohoku University; Postdoctoral fellow of Kyushu University, 2000-2001; Research fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, 2001-2003; Research fellow of Hokkaido University, 2003-2007; Lecturer of Tokai University, 2007-2008; Assistant Professor of Hokkaido University, 2008-2010; Associate Professor of Tohoku University, 2010-present. Dr. Takashima research interests are: Cretaceous-Quaternary tephrochronology using apatite trace-element, Cretaceous-Paleogene bio- and chemo-stratigraphies, Cretaceous-Paleogene paleo-environmental change, Cretaceous tectonics of Asia.
