Bogdan Sasu

West University of Timişoara Romania

Bogdan Sasu graduated Faculty of Mathematics from West University of Timisoara in 1995. He prepared his MS thesis at INLN - Nice - Sophia Antipolis in the specialization: Applied Mathematics in Fluid Mechanics. The PHD thesis entitled The Asymptotic Behaviour of Evolution Families was elaborated under the scientific coordination of Professor Mihail Megan, being awarded with a special distinction. Starting with October 1995, Bogdan Sasu is a member of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from West University of Timisoara. He was director of several research grants in control theory and dynamical systems and he is the director of the Research MS Program. His research area focuses on the asymptotic behavior of evolution equations in infinite - dimensional spaces and their applications in control theory and also on the qualitative theory of difference equations in infinite-dimensional spaces and the controllability of systems of difference equations. He published over 65 scientific papers in pure and applied mathematics and 10 books. B. Sasu is a member of the following professional societies: American Mathematical Society, International Society of Difference Equations, European Mathematical Society and Romanian Mathematical Society.
