Reza Hashemian
Reza Hashemian BS Tehran University, Iran MS University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI PhD University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI Dr. Hashemian is a professor at Northern Illinois University, Department of Electrical Engineering, where he teaches and does research on analog circuit design, digital designs with DSP-FPGAs, VLSI designs, image compressions and processing, and computer arithmetic. In earlier positions Dr. Hashemian has served as the director of research at Sharif University of Technology, and also as the associate director and then director of Materials and Energy Research Center, Tehran, Iran. He has served in industry for six years, including Signetics (Phillips), Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, and Texas Instruments, Inc., Dallas, Texas. Dr. Hashemian is an Ex-holder of professional licensee in Engineering in the state of Illinois. He has been a member of the first executive committee of IEEE, Iran Section,1970-1972; and now a life-Senior member of the IEEE.
