Hitoshi Habuka

Dr. Habuka obtained his B.Sc. degree at Niigata University and his Master of Science degree at Kyoto University in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He earned his Doctor of Engineering degree from Hiroshima University, in 1994. Dr. Habuka's academic career is largely based at Yokohama National University where he is currently Professor Emeritus, since 2022. He previously worked at Shin-Etsu Chemicals Co., Ltd., from 1981 to 2000. Dr. Habuka is the President of the Reaction and Reactor Engineering Laboratory and is a member of several societies including the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan, The Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Japanese Association for Crystal Growth, The Electrochemical Society, the American Chemical Society, The Japan Institute of Electronics Packaging, the Japan Air Cleaning Association.
