Ana I. Ribeiro-Barros
More than 20 years of experience in Tropical Research, with a strong component of Research for Development (R4D) during the last 15 years, based on interdisciplinary projects applied to the characterization, conservation, monitoring and management of agroforestry resources, with a strong component of post-graduate training and institutional and capacity building, with particular emphasis in Portugal, Brazil and Mozambique. From 2006 to 2012 Dr. Ribeiro-Barros was the deputy National Contact Point of Portugal at the European Initiative for Agricultural Research for Development (EIARD), the ARD European Coordination Group (ECG) and the CGIAR Consortium. From 2007 to 2009 she was the representative of the Tropical Research Institute (IICT) at the Biosafety Group, in the former European Consortium for Agricultural Research in the Tropics (ECART), now Agrinatura.
