Michael J. Hamlin is an Associate Professor of Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Sports Scholarship Academic Advisor, at the Department of Social Science, Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sport, Lincoln University, Christchurch, New Zealand. Dr. Hamlin is the author of more than 50 articles and book chapters. A member of numerous professional societies, he received his B.Ph.Ed degree (1990) in exercise prescription from Otago University, Dunedin, his M.H.M.S. degree (1995) in exercise physiology from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, and his Ph.D. degree (1999) from Otago University, Dunedin.
