Dr. Yongzhi Xi graduated from BINZHOU Medical College and Academy of Military Medical Sciences, P.R. China, in 1982 and 1988 respectively, and trained at the Institute of Applied Radiobiology Immunology/TNO, The Netherlands, during 1991-1992. Since 1996 he has been Professor of Medicine and Hematology/Immunology, Chief of Immunology Laboratory, Beijing 307 Hospital Affiliated to Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing. He has been engaged in studies on hematology/immunology, especially for HLA structure, function and clinical typing for HSC and organ transplantation. He has published over 180 articles in the scientific literature, covering various aspects of hematology/immunology research and has authored 6 books. Also, he has been the recipient of many science/technology awards and the member of many Science Societies/Associations.
