Kathryn Tonissen
Associate Professor Kathryn Tonissen received her Bachelor of Science with Honours (B.Sc. Hons) degree in 1986 from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. She completed her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Adelaide in 1991, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia and a member of the Eskitis Institute for Cell and Molecular Therapies, also based at Griffith University. Her research is focussed on the cellular and molecular aspects of redox control, with a particular emphasis on cancer research and she has published more than 30 papers in international journals.
