Idowu Biao
Idowu Biao is currently serving as Professor of Lifelong Learning at the University of Botswana, Gaborone. He was for 2 years (2010-11), the Deputy Director and Ag. Director, Institute of Extra-Mural Studies, National University of Lesotho, Lesotho, Southern Africa. He has been teaching in both West and Southern African Universities for the past 24 years and has been Professor of Lifelong Learning for 11 of those 24 years. In addition to his having had the opportunity of serving in such exalted offices of Head of Department, Deputy Director (IEMS), Ag. Dean and Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) in his capacity as Chair of University of Calabar CollegePortal, he currently has about 80 academic publications and 55 monographs and technical reports to his credit. His most recent publications include “Comparing Pioneer African Institutes of Extra-Mural Services, 2010- Lambert Academic Publishing USA”, “Promoting ECOWAS Vision 2020 through higher education, 2010- Lambert Academic Publishing USA” and “Human Development Index Literacy as a new social development theory International Critical Thought Vol.1 No.4, 2011 ”.
