Patricia Regal is a full-time assistant professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology, at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She graduated in veterinary science from the Faculty of Veterinary Science of Lugo, in 2007, and obtained her Ph.D. (cum laude) in 2012. Dr. Regal has published more than 50 scientific articles in prestigious international journals. She has co-authored four book chapters, various open-access articles, national contributions, and two chapters in encyclopedias. She has wide practical experience in the fields of food safety, food composition, omic technologies, biostatistics, biomarker discovery, and chromatographic techniques and mass spectrometry applied to biological matrices.
