Jun Peng

Jun Peng received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY, USA in 2004. He is currently an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of University of Texas - Pan American, Edinburg, TX, USA. His general research interests are in computer communications networks. He has contributed to the areas of medium access control, congestion control, error control, multicasting, and broadcasting. He has recently been conducting research in the general area of distributed wireless networks. He is a senior member of IEEE.
