Dr. Hiroaki Endo was born in Tokyo Japan and spent his childhood between Africa, the Philippines and Australia. He earned his Ph.D in mechanical engineering from the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia and joined Test Devices Inc (TDI) after analytics and lifing work at Rolls-Royce plc. He began at the company as a senior engineer and was promoted to chief engineer before serving in his current role as a Vice-president of Engineering. Through his career, he has developed and enhanced a wide array of new and existing testing technologies. He has published several papers and studies in industry journals and has made many presentations to international gatherings of design engineers. Dr. Endo now leads a team of engineers and projects to develop a new ways to test components of gas turbine engines. Test Devices’ main business is to design and develop equipment and methodologies to help evaluate the performance of gas turbine components that operates in arduous environment. The data from the tests help engineers and scientist to understand and to validate the life and integrity of critical engine components.
