Rising Star

17 September 2015

The International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems is launching a new initiative aimed at supporting young researchers within the domain of robotics, the IJARS Rising Star.

This project was born out of the idea and belief that newcomers in all scientific disciplines are to be encouraged and mentored from an early start. By providing the right tools such as guidance in structuring their research and a platform to publish their papers in open access, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of PhD studies and push towards the recognition of young, rising stars in robotics.

The project will be led by four guest editors who will co-ordinate the review process, and supported by three ambassadors. Ph.D. students at any level/age can apply for the project.

Once the review of all submitted papers has been completed, the guest editors will choose top 10% papers which will be published in the International Journal of Advanced Robotic systems for free. Other authors whose work gets accepted, but don't make the top 10%, will be offered a discounted APC of 640 Euros.
