Scope

Over the past few decades, biomedical sensing and machine learning techniques have attracted much attention in computer-based advanced manufacturing and health management. Developing a comprehensive human health monitoring system requires novel developments related to biomedical sensing techniques, deep analysis and sensor fusion, adaptability of artificial intelligence technology to complex environments, and specific working conditions. Advances in electronics and machine learning techniques are constantly increasing the possibilities to make wearable, miniaturized, and more accurate biomedical sensing devices and instruments, which can also incorporate enough intelligence to autonomously analyse the captured signals and possibly react to them. This Special Issue is dedicated to novel articles that deal with all aspects regarding the challenges and solutions in the development of advanced biomedical sensing and machine learning techniques in human health monitoring. Review articles that provide readers with scholarly educational material about the current research trends on the matter are also welcome.
