TECHNOLOGIES AND CREATIVE LEARNING (TCL)
Creativity in educational settings resides at the intersection of stakeholders’ creative identity, affordances to engage in lessons infused with multiple means of representation, and effectivities in students’ environments that foster alternative assessments. An examination of the three components of creative identity, affordances, and effectivities leads the reader to the heart of the collection of articles in this special edition of Technologies and Creativity Learning (TCL).

Editorial Review Board
The Technologies and Creative Learning special edition invites authors to examine access to creative technology by educators and their stakeholders through three overarching lenses. The first lens examines creative identity to cast a wider net to encompass traditionally marginalized learners through diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Authors are asked to examine equitable access to creative technology infused into lesson planning that serves both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners. The second lens examines affordances in learning environments to practice technology-based creative teaching methods and alternative assessments that align with the tenets of Universal Design for Learning and students’ multiple means of engagement. The third lens queries effectivities that bridge teachers’ affordances into actions where educators can infuse their courses and programs with creative technology solutions in hybrid learning environments. Authors are welcome to reach out directly to Dr. Sharon Mistretta to discuss their proposed article to gain insights into the trajectory of this Technologies and Creative Learning special edition.
