Space exploration of the Solar System represents the next frontier for mankind. Lack of human activities beyond the low Earth orbits pushes to new research efforts in the light of new planetary explorations. Missions to asteroids, Moon, and planets are currently under development by several Space Agencies and Research centers all over the world. Today the red planet is the most investigated planet of the Solar System for its great similarity with Earth. Therefore, after the Moon conquest, Mars represents the next target of Human exploration.
