Renée Lapointe
I am the Research Director of Sylvar Technologies Inc which develops and commercializes environmentally friendly microbial pesticides for controlling insect pests. I directs the R&D department as well as the production of commercialized products at Sylvar Technologies Inc. I have fifteen years of experience in baculovirus research both at the fundamental and applied levels. I have done done research in industrial, academic, and governmental environments in Eastern Canada as well as in the United Kingdom (Imperial College London) and in developing countries. I hold a M.Sc. in Entomology from McGill University and a Ph.D. from Queen’s University.
