Hugo H. Mejia-Madrid
Was born in Denver, CO, U.S.A. Studied at UNAM his BSc, MSc and PhD. Had 2 postdoctoral research positions, one at UC Davis 2006 through 2007, and stayed for a while to do research and teach introduction to Nematology. The other posdoc position was at CINVESTAV-IPN Unidad Mérida in the Yucatán Península, Mexico where he published several papers on Cucullanus and philometrids from marine fishes. Now he is combining both fields, soil nematology and parasite nematodes of arthropods and freshwater fishes, with applied and theoretical approaches in the fields of phylogenetic systematics, biogeography and agriculture.
