Javier Cabello
I am PhD in Biological Sciences and Professor at the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology at the University of AlmerÃa (Spain). Since two years ago I am the sub-director of the Andalusian Center for the Evaluation and Monitoring of Global Change and the head of the research group Arid Zones Ecology. In the last years, my research efforts focus on: 1) Regional analysis of ecosystems and biodiversity: operation and modeling 2) Remote Sensing and Geographic information Systems applications to sustainable ecosystem management, and to conservation threatened and endemic species, 3) Habitats and ecosystem monitoring and characterization. I usually collaborate with the Laboratory of Regional Analysis and Remote Sensing, University of Buenos Aires.
