Karin Tamm-Rosenstein

I did my Master studies in Neurobiology investigating the role of neurotrophic factors, BDNF and GDNF, in peripheral nerve development. After graduation I started to work as an embryologist in IVF clinic. I became fascinated of human embryology and implantation process. After one year I continued my PhD studies and started to investigate the role of estrogen and progesterone in the development of human endometrium. The coordinated action of steroid hormones play crucial role in the preparation of the endometrium to be ready for embryo implantation.
