Andrejs Erglis
Andrejs Erglis is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Institute of Cardiology and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Latvia, Chief of Latvian Centre of Cardiology at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (Riga, Latvia). He is currently the President of the Latvian Society of Cardiology and the Vice-President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. He obtained his PhD from the University of Latvia in 2006. He continued his training in interventional cardiology in the USA, Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and France. He is the author of more than 300 peer-reviewed articles and presented over 700 lectures/chairmanships at national and mostly international meetings. His major fields of scientific interest are non-invasive and invasive diagnostic tools in cardiology, interventional cardiology, regenerative medicine, and the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease.
