University of Kansas United States of America

I have PhD in Biostatistics at 1992. I am currently working as a full Research Professor at the Kansas University, School of Medicine-Wichita. Prior this job, I worked as a senior research associate in the Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine at Wake Forest University, School of Medicine. In this position, I was involved in research, teaching, consulting, and developing statistical methods for analyzing big data using existing genetic tools. I was involved in the writing, design, analysis, dissemination, and preparation of the statistical components of many grant proposals at the center. Along with my extensive teaching experience at different universities across Europe and USA, I have served as a key person for many projects at the Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine, Wake Forest Medical School, University of Wisconsin Madison, Oregon Research Institute, and some other institutions. My postdoctoral experience was at the University of Nebraska as a scholar from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, conducting research on the genotypic expression of various traits at different ages. I worked at Oregon Research Institute and Department of Decision at University of Oregon as a Fulbright Scholar for my second Post Doc and research associate position. During this position, I worked on new methods such as discrete choice models, structural equation modeling, multilevel and longitudinal data analysis etc. I have many studies on ANNs since 2011. I conceived, carried out the study, performed all computations, and wrote the manuscript that was the first application of ANNs for genomic prediction presented in 2011 when I was working in University of Wisconsin, Madison. Since 2011, I continued to work on ANNs, involved in research and published many papers in peer journals, three book chapters, and many speakers at international conferences.
