Pradeep V Patil MBBS, FRCS, MD is a Consultant in Upper GI surgery based at Ninewells hospital and medical school, Dundee in Scotland. Ninewells hospital is a very well-known center for innovation in minimally invasive surgery for more than 30 years. He was fortunate to do most of my surgical training in Dundee and have had the privilege of teaching and training surgeons from all over the world for more than 20 years. His focus is both on technical skills and the safety of patient care and training future surgeons to follow these principles. His clinical practice and teaching portfolio include benign oesophageal and gastric surgery, oesophageal and gastric cancer surgery, metabolic and bariatric surgery, and complex biliary surgery. He has many international presentations and publications in these areas to improve surgical techniques and patient information and care.
