Peter Chen
Dr. Peter Chen was born in China, migrated to Australia, and received all his tertiary education in University of New South Wales, Sydney. Present he has retired and continues as an independent researcher. After his BSc., MEngSc., ME., degrees, he obtained his PhD in the School of Nuclear Engineering at the same University on 1974. He was Senior research scientist at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering UNSW. His responsibility was to provide academic advice to research students and faculty members of the School. He also had his own research interests in fluid flow, heat conduction, thermal stress analysis, rotor dynamics, and optical fibers. He is specialized in solving nonlinear problems in those fields. His most recent research is in developing the electromagnetic wave propagation theory dealing with redshifts in starlight.
