Muhammad Naveed

Dr. Muhammad Naveed is an Associate Professor of Soil Science at the Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, University of Agriculture, Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. in Soil Microbiology/ Ecology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria. He has received many national and international awards, including the Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Prize for Applied Science - Technology in Agricultural Sciences from Pakistan and the Gregor Mendel Society Award for Visionary Ideas on Genetics from Austria. Dr. Naveed’s research focuses on the physiological and molecular mechanisms of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in plants. He is actively working on plant-microbe interactions under stress conditions. He has published more than 130 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 15 book chapters. He also has three patents to his credit.
