Renzo Gerardo Pepe Victoriano, was born at Arica, Chile, obtained his Marine biologist degree in the Universidad Arturo Prat. • He obtained his diploma couse in “Aquaculture buissiness management” at Santiago, Chile. • Afterwards, he obtained his master in Aquacultute in the Universidad Católica del Norte, Chile. • Beside, he obtained a master in “Leadership and Organization Management” in the Universidad de Tarapacá, Chile • PhD. Student, Aquaculture, in the Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria, España. • He has developed different cultivation strategies with several marine fishes with a wide knowledge in the fields of reproduction, reproductive conditioning, diets, spawning and incubation. • In the period between 1991 and 1997 he was, firstly, technician and afterwards deputy director of the centre at Granjamar (Fundación Chile), dedicated to the cultivation of flat fishes. • In the period between 1997 and 2005 he was employed hold different positions in the Tecnofish S.A. company, where he reached the position of technician manager, with youth exportations to Europe and Asia. • Important knowledge about the cultivation progress of the Turbot larval, (Psetta máxima) doing and validating several cultivations at San Sebastian (España) y France with high success. • More than 25 years of experience in the research development in fish larvae cultivation of marine fishes (Genypterus chilensis, Paralichthys adspersus, Paralichthys olivaceus, Cilus gilberti, Anisotremus scapularis. Sarda chiliensis, Seriola lalandi, etc.) • Due to his important experience, he has participated in the planning and design of Aquaculture Productive Centres, Research Centres, Academic programs, etc. collaborating with national and international interdisciplinary groups. • He has been member of academic panels as specialist in marine fishes to create professional and technical degrees in Aquaculture at Chile. • He is advisory in aquaculture national and international projects. • In academia, he has taught degree courses in different national and international universities. • He has been chairman at different important conferences with an important number of communications to national and international conferences. • Several ISI publication in the last years mainly related to comercial production of marine fishes. • He has also participated in several investigations with IEO (Instituto Español Oceanográfico) and AZTI (Estación océanometeorológica de Pasaia), Spain • He has tought different speciality course at Tacna and Arequipa. • He has participates as main researcher and researcher in several aquaculture projects at the Arica and Parinacota Region. • Member of the WAS (World Aquaculture Society) and LACC (Capítulo Latinoamericano y del Caribe), since 2012. • The nly chilean member of the RIIA (Red Internacional de la Ictiofauna Amazónica). • Director of the northen Chilean Region of the SCHACUI (Sociedad Chilena de Acuicultura), with the objective of motivating the use of aquaculture in arid regions. • In 2015 he was designated as embassasor of aquaculture in Chile. • He is responsable of the Master Program of ”Acuicultura con mención en Cultivo de Recursos Hidrobiológicos y Mención Acuiponia” at the Universidad Arturo Prat, directing different aquaculture projects in arid regions.
