Ravendra Kumar

Dr. Ravendra Kumar obtained his MSc and Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemicals/Chemistry from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. He qualified for ICAR NET in 2010. Dr. Kumar has industrial experience in the extraction, separation, and purification of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical components at India Glycols Limited, Dehradun. Since 2015, he has been an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. During this period, he published more than seventy-six research papers in reputed national and international journals and guided nine MSc and one PhD students in natural product chemistry. Currently, he is guiding two MSc and two Ph.D. students in plant chemistry. He has also published twelve book chapters on pesticide chemistry/natural products and four review articles on plant chemistry. He received the 2018 Young Scientist Award at the first annual conference of the Society for Himalayan Action Research and Development (SHARAD) for his work in chemical and nanoscience. Dr. Kumar is a member of several chemical societies and journals. He is handling two national projects funded by the Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology (UCB) and Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Government of India.
