Dr. Sanem Argin received her B.S. degree in Food Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey and her Ph.D. degree in Food Science from University of Maryland, College Park, USA. After completing her Ph.D., she worked as Project Development Specialist in Aromsa, Inc. for 3 years. She accepted a faculty position in the Department of Food Engineering at Yeditepe University in February 2011. She is the Founding Department Head of Agricultural Trade and Management at Yeditepe University since May 2019. Her research interests are biopolymer applications in food science and agriculture including encapsulation and electrospinning. She authored many scientific papers in prestigious international journals, book chapters and a patent in the area of Food Science and Biotechnology.
