Yosr Hamdi

Yosr Hamdi is a biologist and researcher at Institut Pasteur de Tunis, Tunisia. She is a specialist in cancer genomics and precision oncology. Dr. Hamdi started in the field of human genetics in 2004 with the Human Genome Project. Then, she obtained a master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, Laval University, Canada. In 2009, she joined the Genomics Center of the Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l´Université Laval (CRCHUL) where she obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine. Dr. Hamdi is now leading the Genome Tunisia Collaborative Alliance (GTCA) and the PerMediNA Consortium (Personalised Medicine in North Africa) to continue the investigations of cancer genomics in African populations as well as implement genomic medicine and precision oncology in North Africa.
