I am working as an assistant professor in the department of Microbiology in Jawaharlal Nehru women\'s college affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Tamil Nadu, India. I obtained my Ph.D. in 2019, undertaking a full-time Ph.D. (2014-2019) in Gandhigram Rural Institute- Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu India about the growth parameters of Spirulina platensis for phycocyanin extraction, purification, and its application. As a part of my Ph.D., Phycocyanin as an electrochemical sensor for the detection of free radicals was documented by me under the guidance of DR. C. Sekar Head of the Department of Bioelectronics and Biosensors from Alagappa University. My Ph.D. was funded by the Department of Science and Technology in New Delhi under the INSPIRE fellowship scheme (DST-IF). My research interest is cyanobacterial cultivation and enhances pigment production. Biosensing application of phycocyanin and exopolysaccharide from the cyanobacterial crust.
