Dr. Maji has recently completed his Ph. D thesis work on 'Study on geothermal activities by experimental techniques and nonlinear approaches” from the Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur), Mahatma Gandhi Avenue, Durgapur-713209, West Bengal, India under the active supervision of Dr. Hirok Chaudhuri, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Durgapur in 2020. He has done his Ph. D thesis work with the fellowship of UGC sponsored scheme: the Rajib Gandhi National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste [Presently known as National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste]. Moreover, Dr. Maji has completed his B. Sc. (Hons) and M. Sc. in Physics [specialization in Electronics] from the Department of Physics, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Dr. Maji has more than five year working experience in the research area of Study on Geothermal Activities by nonlinear time series analysis of Geochemical and Geophysical data and experimental approaches; Geothermal Exploration and Helium Exploration; Earthquake Precursory Study by using nonlinear techniques; Nonlinear analysis of Geochemical & Geophysical data; Nonlinear analysis of ECG signals for detection of cardiovascular diseases etc. Moreover, Dr. Maji has a knee interest on the research topics- 'Investigation of Earth degassing through statistical and nonlinear approaches” and 'Electrokinetic treatment of soil”. Dr. Maji has made 04 in Peer Reviewed International and National SCI, Scopus and Web of Science indexed Journals. Moreover, he published 02 research articles as book chapter and he has more than 25 publications in the Proceedings of International/ National Conferences. Furthermore, he delivered 03 talks in conferences and seminars on the topic of his research activities as well the ancient Indian science. Dr. Maji has also attended about 35 conferences/ seminars/ short term courses/ schools. Moreover, Mr. Maji holds high quality of leadership and he continues his work with independent and efficient attitude. Mr. Maji has an excellent quality of communication skills in English (speaking and writing). Presently, he has started collaborative research activity with the research group from Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia and East China University, China under BRICS activity. Moreover, Dr. Maji is also engaged in various administrative supportive activities. He is an active member (Institute level committee) of 'Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) Programme” for supporting activities of RAA at NIT Durgapur. RAA is a joint venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of West Bengal to promote science in the schools of the state of West Bengal. Being a member of RAA, Dr. Maji had contributed in the establishment of 'Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Science Museum” at NIT Durgapur, West Bengal, India. Moreover, Dr. Maji has actively engaged as supportive organising member in more than 12 various seminars, workshop, short term courses, national and international conferences.
