Dr. eng. Katarzyna Cesarz-Andraczke is a professor\'s assistant in the Department of Engineering Materials and Biomaterials, Silesian University of Technology, Poland. Her research interests include the structural characteristics, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance in vitro of light metal alloys intended for resorbable medical implants. In 2016, she obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering. The thematic scope of her doctoral dissertation was resorbable magnesium (Mg)-based metallic glasses. She is a co-author of two patents and more than fifty publications on the properties and structure of Mg and calcium (Ca) alloys. As part of her scientific work, Dr. Cesarz-Andraczke is looking for an effective solution to the too-rapid degradation of potential biomaterials.
