Dr. Samuel Adeyinka-Ojo has an extensive academic and professional background in different disciplines. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing [PGDM]. Sam holds an MBA in Marketing, an MBA in General Management, an MSc in Public Health and Health Promotion, and a Master of ICT Management (project management). He studied for a Graduate Certificate in Business [GCB] (International Business) from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and a PhD in Hospitality and Tourism from the prestigious Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Samuel was the first African to graduate from Taylor’s University (TU) with a PhD degree. He was also awarded Post-Crisis Hospitality Management from the University of South Florida, USA. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing [MICIM] (UK), an associate member of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management. He completed the ACCA Professional Ethics Module in 2011. He has been awarded Senior Fellow, Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom, Member Australian Institute of Project Management (MAIPM), Member Australian Institute of Marketing, Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) of The Chartered Association of Business Schools, UK, and Certified Member Project Management Institute, USA. He has worked for several companies as an accountant, auditor, managing consultant, sales manager, business development manager, and marketing manager in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry. He was the Head of the Department of Management, Marketing, and Digital Business, with effect from August 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023. Sam is also a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Business at Curtin University Malaysia. He was formerly the Head of the Department of Marketing (2017–2019). He coordinates business internships, business ethics, sustainable tourism, and hospitality, marketing, tourism, and business capstone courses at the undergraduate programmes, as well as six project management modules for the M.Sc. degree in project management.
