Irene Del Sol Illana
Irene Del Sol received her PhD in Manufacturing, materials and environmental engineering in 2019. She is an Assistant professor at the University of Cadiz. Her research has mainly been focused on the machining and texturing processes of aeronautical materials. She has developed different studies on the tool wear of aluminium machining, parameter optimization for the machining process and improvement of the process through lubricant conditions as well as characterisation of the laser texturing of titanium and stainless steel surfaces, analysing its effect on the wettability, sliding and wear behaviour.
