Luis Ubillos
Dr. Luis Ubillos graduated as a medical doctor in Montevideo, Uruguay. He obtained his specialist degree in Medical Oncology at the same University and later obtained his PhD in the area of cancer immunology. He currently holds the position of coordinator of the Medical Oncology Unit of the British Hospital of Montevideo and is Director of the Department of Medicine of the Catholic University of Uruguay. He is a member and former president of the Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology of Uruguay (SOMPU) as well as an active member of several international societies (ASCO, AACR and ESMO). He is an active member of several research projects and his main interests are cancer immunology and the search for prognostic and predictive markers. He has published several works linked to glycosylation and cancer, as well as the search for potential antigens for use as active immunotherapy.
