Prof. Dr. Eloisa Helena de Aguiar Andrade has a BS in Pharmacy, a qualification in Biochemistry, an MSc in Chemistry of Natural Products, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Brazil. She is currently Principal Researcher II of the Botany Coordination at the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG), responsible for the Adolpho Ducke Multi-User Laboratory (LAD). She is also Associate Professor I and professor of the postgraduate programs in chemistry at UFPA, professor of postgraduate programs in biological sciences - tropical botany at the Federal Rural University of the Amazon/Museu Paraense Emilio Goeldi (UFRA/MPEG), and Professor of Biodiversity Biotechnology for the Bionorte Network, UFPA. She is the coordinator of the Pará State Hub Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity and Biotechnology (PPGBIONORTE-PA) of the Bionorte Network. Dr. Andrade is the author of more than 500 scientific contributions, including articles, communications, book chapters, and books. She does research in chemistry, with an emphasis on the chemistry of natural products, working on gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry on volatile and fixed (derivatized) chemical constituents, and more.
