Dr. Zeid J. Khitan is Professor of Medicine, Chief of Nephrology Section, and Director of J. Robert Prichard Dialysis Center, at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Marshall University. He received his medical degree from University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Khitan currently teaches the following: Contrast Nephropathy; Renal Vasculitis; Salt Balance; Chronic kidney Disease, What can we do besides dialysis; Renal Disease and Hypertension in Pregnancy; Lithium-Induced Kidney Disease; Uric Acid, beyond Gout; Potassium balance. He has received many awards during his career, and is a fellow of American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, and a Member of International Society of Nephrology. Dr. Khitan acts as a reviewer and member of editorial boards for numerous peer review journals. He has published more than 35 peer reviewed articles, 15 articles, and 1 book chapter.
