Aashaq H. Bhat
Mr. Aashaq Hussain Bhat is a DST Inspire Scholar, in Department of Zoology, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. He is also working as a guest faculty in the Department of Environmental Science, in the same university and had also taught in Department of Biochemistry. He has done MSc. in Zoology with specialization as Parasitology and was topper of his batch. He has also done M.Phil. in Nematology and recently had submitted his PhD thesis. Mr. Aashaq Hussain Bhat has 7 years’ experience in nematode taxonomy, microbiological bioinformatics, molecular biology and phylogenetics, evolution and biological control. He has reported several species of entomopathogenic nematodes for the first time from India and also described their associated bacterial symbionts first time globally. He has published 6 papers in well reputed international journals and many in UGC approved national journals. He has also published his findings in several proceedings/seminars. He has participated in 27 international / national seminars and has been facilitated with 5 best oral presentation awards. He has been invited two times for an invited talk at University of Allahabad and on time as External Resource Person for giving hands on training programme on Advanced Molecular Biotechniques at CSJM University, Kanpur. He has also served as a judge in 25th and 26th District Level National Children’s Science Congress, Uttar Pradesh and one time in World’s First Science Reality Show, Vigyan GHar Season-2, Uttar Pradesh. He has also participated and presented paper in ESN 2018 at Ghent University, Belgium.
