AdÃ£o Silva received the Licenciatura (five years course), M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro, in 1999, 2002 and 2007 respectively. He is currently assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the University of Aveiro, and a researcher at the Instituto de TelecomunicaÃ§Ãµes - PÃ³lo de Aveiro. His main interests lie in signal processing techniques for wireless communications. Within this research line he has done work for mobile communications, and has published over 30 technical papers in international journals and conferences. He has been participating in several national and European projects, namely the ASILUM, MATRICE, 4MORE, CODIV, and FUTON. His current research activities involve pre-equalization, space-time-frequency algorithms, cooperative networks and MIMO-OFDM systems.
