Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of ABC in 1976. He specialized in Medical Residency in the areas of General Surgery and Vascular Surgery from 1977 to 1979 and from 1978 to 1982 respectively. He obtained a Specialist Degree in Angiology and Vascular Surgery awarded by the Brazilian Medical Association. He is a Doctor and Master in Health Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of ABC and has developed research in the area of ​​Laser since 1988 when he was Medical Founder of the Medical Center of Studies and Treatment with Laser emphasizing the clinical application. Since 1999 he has been carrying out experimental and clinical studies in anti-cancer and anti-microbial Photodynamic Therapy, where he was responsible for the development of a low-cost light source, the RL50, making it possible to apply it in public health. He currently works as a vascular surgeon at FMABC - Hospital de Clínicas de São Bernardo do Campo, coordinating the Ambulatory Center for Diabetic Foot Treatment.
