Alfred Pawlik

Alfred Pawlik is a Professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Ateneo de Manila University, and director of the Anthropological and Sociological Initiatives of the Ateneo (ASIA). His research focuses on the archaeology of Southeast Asia and Europe, the anthropology of hunter-gatherers, and past human behavior. His interests include prehistoric technologies, experimental archaeology, and use-wear analysis. He obtained a doctoral degree in Prehistory from the Faculty of Geosciences, the University of Tübingen in 1995 and has held academic positions at the Universities of Tübingen and Innsbruck, and the University of the Philippines. He has published numerous articles in international journals and is the author of two books and co-editor of seven volumes, including Pleistocene Archaeology (https://www.intechopen.com/books/9251).
