Georg-Friedrich Von Tempelhoff

Prof. Dr. Freidrich von Tempelhoff, FCATH, is a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic oncology, perinatal medicine, and hemostaseology. He is chief of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and head of the Institute for Thrombosis and Coagulation Disorders in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Teaching Hospital Vinzencius Hospital, Hanau Germany. He completed his medical education at Justus-Liebig University, Germany, and became a Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996. In 1993, he received his doctorate in medicine and completed his habilitation at the Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany in 2007. He was appointed extracurricular professor at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Germany in 2015. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis. His scientific focus is on hemostaseological and hemorheological disorders in women with miscarriages, preeclampsia, and thrombosis. Dr. Tempelhoff is a reviewer for numerous journals, author of several publications and book chapters, and a contributor to international and national guidelines on coagulation and thrombosis in gynecology.
