Dr. Starikovskiy graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, received his PhD degree in 1991 and Doctor of Science degree in 2000. Member of Editorial Board of journal Energies; Journal of Plasma Chemistry Plasma Processing Research; Plasma Research Express. Editor-in-Chief of the journal Plasma. Author of more than 520 publications; 6 patents, 7 book chapters. Dr. Starikovskiy’s research focuses on pulsed discharges; generation and sustaining of weakly ionized nonequilibrium plasmas; supersonic flow and shock wave structure in nonequilibruim plasma; boundary layer separation control by nonequilibrium plasmas; ignition, combustion, and flameholding by nonequilibrium plasmas; kinetics of gases and plasmas at extreme thermodynamic conditions; kinetics in strong shock waves and radiative heat transfer; gas dynamic lasers; molecular energy transfer processes; plasma and gas flow visualization and optical diagnostics.
