Gillian Gomez-Mediavilla

Gillian Gomez-Mediavilla is a researcher at the Geography Department of UAM. She is an Environmental Science graduate and has research experience in the history and management of forest and rural areas, agricultural and cultural landscapes, changes in land use, vegetation dynamics, as well as techniques related to GIS and environmental cartography. Her PhD thesis addresses the forest landscape of Fraxinus angustifolia pollards in Spain and its relevance in terms of biodiversity, cultural heritage, and economic and social values.
