Dinh Hoa Nguyen

Nguyen Dinh Hoa received his Ph.D. degree in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo in 2014. After that, he worked as a Lecturer for Hanoi University of Science and Technology until 1/2015 and for Toyota Technological Institute until 12/2016. Since 12/2016, he has been an Assistant Professor at International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research and Institute of Mathematics for Industry, Kyushu University. His research is interdisciplinary encompassing energy systems, control theory and optimization, with the focuses on renewable integration, multi-agent systems, distributed optimization, smart grid, demand response and real-time pricing. He has received several awards including the Japan Society of Instrument and Control Engineers International Scholarship in 2009, the IEEE Travel Support Award in 2009, the best section presentation award in the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies, the best presentation award in the 2018 5th International Conference on Power and Energy Systems, and the best paper award in the 2018 9th International Conference on Science and Engineering. Dr. Hoa is a member of IEEE.
